A Batman First Person Shooter?

Even the most casual gamer has surely heard of Batman: Arkham Asylum by now. It was a blockbuster title back in 2009 and if you haven't played it yet, take my word for it and pick it up as soon as you get the chance. You certainly won't regret it, and if somehow you do, then you've got bigger problems, but I digress...

With all of the hype surrounding its highly anticipated sequel titled Batman: Arkham City set for release this October, another upcoming 2012 Batman release still seems to be flying under most peoples radar. It's a 6 vs 6, download-only first-person shooter set in Gotham called Gotham City Impostors and the name seems to sum it up pretty well.

According the the game's facebook page, the story is based on DETECTIVE COMICS #867-891: "A variation of The Joker drug is causing users to suffer violent mental breakdowns. Now, the citizens of Gotham City are divided into two gangs: one led by a Batman impostor who pledges to bring law back to the streets, the other led by a Joker look-alike out to punish the innocent."
