As if there wasn't already enough for PS3 players to be excited about with the scheduled release of Batman: Arkham City, Uncharted 3, Battlefield 3, and Call of Duty: MW3 this fall, just to name a few. Fans now have a couple more reasons to start saving up their money with the announcements of a few more PlayStation Portable titles that they can add to the seeming ever growing list of games set to release on the PS3 later this year.
Coming September 13, Kratos returns to the PS3 in the God Of War: Origins Collection - a compilation of the Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta PSP games. And similar to the previous God Of War Collection for PS3, which combined remastered versions of the PlayStation 2 God Of War and God Of War 2 games, this new collection will also feature:
* Remastered in 1080p and stereoscopic 3D
* PSN Trophy support
* Dualshock Rumble
* DLC content including Legionnaire Kratos and Forest of the Forgotten
* 5.1 surround sound
* Game directors roundtable video
And coming later in November 2011, Konami revealed that alongside the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Rising, they will also be releasing a Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PlayStation 3 that will include not only Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 (both originally for PS2), but will also include the somewhat lesser known PSP exclusive, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in HD as well.
